The conference is now a memory.

Putting Memory in Place was, for me, a very stimulating and productive experience. Meeting scholars and practioners doing very interesting work around the world was a delight. The effort will continue, however, as we will support continued communication and interaction among all who have an interest in memory and place - a very fertile and rich field of inquiry.

Background on the workshop

Putting Memory in Place seeks to bring together citizens to explore the relationship between memory and place - how are places informed and created through memory, and what are the forces in society that obliterate memory? Can we fight these forces?
Stay tuned to this blog for more information as the workshop shapes up, to be held in late February in Bloomington, Indiana.
